前の説明で「フォントを利用するには『フォントファイル』を使用する」と言いました。 実は、これも正確な説明ではありません。 「フォントファイル」を利用せずにフォントを使用する方法が存在するからです。フォントプラットフォーム「SandollCloud」は、「フォントファイル」をユーザーのコンピュータにダウンロードするのではなく、ユーザーが選択したフォントをサーバー呼び出しを通じて活性化する方式でサービスされます。フォント著作権は「フォントファイル」を基準としていますので、「SandollCloud」を利用すれば、いかなる場合でも「著作権論争」に巻き込まれる心配はありません。Sandollが業界で初めてクラウド方式を導入したのもやはり「フォント著作権」と密接な理由があります。 フォントプラットフォーム「SandollCloud」以前のフォントサービスは、フォントファイルを利用者に直接提供するため、フォントが簡単に流布されました。 その結果、フォント著作権を認知できないまま無断流布されたフォントを使用した利用者が著作権違反で責任を負うことが多かったです。Sandollは、これ以上不必要な被害者が発生しないように不法利用が不可能な方式のサービス提供を悩み、その結果が現在のクラウドサービスを基盤としたSandollCloudです。。
This typeface is distinct from the standard round gothic of digital fonts. We have designed a tasteful Maru Gothic typeface with a modern sensibility. It is not a wide-bodied modern design, but a narrow-bodied Maru Gothic. Kanji characters are designed with warm, rounded lines in mind, rather than geometric straight lines. Kana is a neutral design. The calligraphic style when the characters are combined is exceptional. Tsukushi A Round Gothic" and "Tsukushi B Round Gothic" won the Tokyo TDC Award 2010
